Sutton Stracke shared a major update on her relationship with now-former assistant Avi Gabay.
When asked by Jeff Lewis about Avi’s whereabouts during a Tuesday, May 6, appearance on his SiriusXM show, Sutton said she would “imagine” that he’s at home. Jeff, 55, followed up with a question about Sutton and Avi’s working relationship
“In my opinion, Avi is no longer working with me,” she replied. That being said, there is no bad blood between them — at least that is what she said initially.
“We’re still friends. I love Avi, he’s like family but he’s no longer working with me,” she continued. “Everything was working out. It’s just, things evolve and he’s no longer with me.”

Avi was introduced as Sutton’s assistant, appearing in various episodes of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. He’s become a fan favorite over the years, with side comments and facial expressions that have viewers turning Avi into a meme.
Questions about Avi’s whereabouts rose following the RHOBH season 14 finale in March, which is what led to Sutton setting the record straight.
“I’ve been really busy, I’ve been traveling a lot in the past couple of months, so we haven’t really spoken,” she explained when asked if Avi got another assistant job. “I’m about to just live by myself in my house. So, things have just evolved, and it’s different now.”
Sutton further explained that Avi was an “independent contractor” as Jeff, 55, pushed her to reveal what really happened.
“Did you fire him, or did he quit?” Jeff asked. “Did you let him go?”
Sutton continued to play coy, noting that they “parted ways” and she’s “not sure” if it was mutual between them.
During the same radio show appearance, Sutton also offered a major update on her friendship with Garcelle Beauvais following the RHOBH season 14 reunion.

Jeff was quick to note that “it seemed [Garcelle] was most hurt” by Sutton. (Garcelle announced her decision to leave the show after five years in March.)
“I’m sorry for that. I would never want to hurt Garcele intentionally. I’m sorry that she feels that way, and I’m sorry that it went down like that,” Sutton responded. “I think that down the road, Garcelle and I really need to have a long, thoughtful conversation that’s private.”
Sutton shared a similar sentiment while chatting with Us Weekly exclusively.
“I think we were all sort of in shock,” Sutton said at the Us + Maidenform’s Reality Star Style Awards party last month, when asked about Garcelle’s departure. “But Garcelle is a very strong woman so she’s going to make her decision and do what she’s going to do. I just want her to live her best life and be happy.”
