Jordon Hudson subtly defended her relationship with boyfriend Bill Belichick amid growing controversy about their romance.
Hudson, 24, reposted a message of support via X on Tuesday, May 6, after former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III called her connection to Belichick, 73, a “distraction.”
“Is it a distraction for him or for us?” the shared post read.
The move marked Hudson’s first action on social media in over a week, when she uploaded an email via Instagram on April 29 allegedly sent by Belichick prior to his disastrous interview on CBS Sunday Morning last month.

“Bill Belichick is the Greatest Head Coach in NFL History, but his girlfriend Jordon Hudson is becoming a problem,” Griffin III, 35, posted via X. “Bill can date whoever he wants, but his relationship has become the one thing he always hated as a coach, a DISTRACTION for his UNC Football team.”
Griffin III further discussed Hudson’s relationship with Belichick on the Tuesday episode of his “Outta Pocket” podcast, saying, “All of these things that are coming out now, are painting her, this relationship and Bill Belichick in a massively negative light.”
Specifically, Griffin III argued that Hudson’s alleged meddling in Belichick’s life and business has the risk of derailing his tenure as head football coach at the University of North Carolina, a job he officially accepted in December 2024.
Belichick appears to have seen some of the writing on the wall, according to a Monday, May 5, report by NBC Sports.
The six-time Super Bowl winner has reportedly been talking to former Chicago Bears Vice President of Communications Brandon Faber, per the outlet, “in the hopes of boosting his book tour and/or the overall interests of the North Carolina football program.”
“The potential assignment encompasses working directly for North Carolina and/or assisting Belichick with non-UNC matters,” NBC Sports added.
The revelation came on the heels of Belichick’s controversial CBS interview, during which Hudson interjected herself from off camera when Belichick was asked by journalist Tony Dokoupil how the couple met.
Belichick, however, defended Hudson’s response during a statement after the interview aired.

“I was surprised when unrelated topics were introduced, and I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers that I preferred to keep that conversation centered on the book,” Belichick said in a statement released by the University of North Carolina on April 30. “After this occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion.”
CBS responded to Belichick’s criticism, saying their interview with Belichick was not presented with any restrictions.
“There were no preconditions or limitations to this conversation,” a CBS spokesperson said on April 30. “This was confirmed repeatedly with his publisher before the interview took place and after it was completed.”
