OLD TOWN — The Courageous Steps Project is set to host its 12th Annual Dylan McInnis Walk-Run Challenge on Sunday, May 18 at 12 p.m. at Victory Field track complex at Old Town High School, 203 Stillwater Ave. Maine.
This event honors the memory of Dylan McInnis, a compassionate young man who passed away in 2016 due to a congenital heart defect. Dylan was known for his love of hockey, photography and his caring nature. A special ceremony during the event will pay tribute to Dylan and his family.
Founded in 2014 by Connor Archer, the Courageous Steps Project aims to support children and young adults with various abilities and challenges. The annual walk/run serves as the organization’s largest fundraiser, with proceeds benefiting initiatives such as back-to-school drives, scholarship funds and sensory learning programs.

Participants can register individually for $10, couples for $14, families for $30 or teams/groups at $100. The event is family-friendly and encourages community involvement through walking, running or cheering from the sidelines.
Donation opportunities are available, and interested parties can contribute or match donations by contacting [email protected] or donating online.
