Normally, Amazon Prime Video waits until the middle of the month to debut its biggest movies. But this month, Prime Video is flipping the switch by releasing Another Simple Favor on May 1, with both Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively reprising their roles from the 2018 film A Simple Favor.
Considering that Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) had her former BFF Emily Nelson (Lively) sent to prison in the first movie, she’s naturally suspicious when the latter returns and invites her to a destination wedding in Italy. Emily is almost certainly looking for some kind of payback, and Stephanie has very good reasons to be suspicious.
One of the other highlights in May is The Sexiest Man in Winnipeg, a new documentary narrated by Will Arnett. This film presents the wild true story of Steve Vogelsang, a Canadian sports anchor who became a bank robber.
