Misha Agrawal’s sister is paying tribute to the late influencer after her death at age 24.

In a Wednesday, April 30, Instagram post shared via Agrawal’s account, the video began with a screenshot of the late influencer’s alleged phone background. On the screen was a screenshot of her Instagram account, displaying 1 million followers, with her YouTube account below. (Agrawal currently has over 350,000 followers on Instagram.)

“My little baby sister had built her world around Instagram and her followers, with a single goal of reaching 1 million followers and gaining loving fans,” the statement read. “When her followers started decreasing, she became distraught and felt worthless. Since April, she had been deeply depressed, often hugging me and crying, saying, ‘Jijja, what will I do if my followers decrease? My career will be over.’”

Agrawal’s sister explained that she “tried to console” the influencer, noting that “this isn’t her entire world, it’s just a side job and if it doesn’t work out, it’s not the end.”

A post shared by Misha Agrawal (@themishaagrawalshow)

“I reminded her of her talents, her LLB [Bachelor of Laws] degree and her preparation for PCSJ [Provincial Civil Service Judicial], telling her that she’ll become a judge one day and doesn’t need to worry about her career,” the statement read. “I advised her to view Instagram as mere entertainment and not let it consume her. I urged her to focus on her happiness and let go of anxiety and depression.”

“Unfortunately, my little sister didn’t listen and became so consumed by Instagram and followers that she left our world forever,” the statement continued. “Tragically, she became so overwhelmed that she took her own life, leaving our family devastated.”

“Her Phone wallpaper says everything. Her only aim of life,” the caption read. “Instagram is not a real world and followers are not real love, please try to understand this.”

News broke on Saturday, April 26, that Agrawal — who rose to fame with The Misha Agrawal Show, where she shared relatable videos — died days before her 25th birthday. “Misha Agrawal. April 26, 2000 — April 24, 2025,” the Instagram post read.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share the heartbreaking news of Misha Agrawal’s passing,” the post read. “Thank you all for the love and support you showed her and her work. We are still trying to come to terms with this immense loss. Please keep her in your thoughts and continue to carry her spirit in your hearts.”

The post was captioned, “Our loss is unimaginable. We have no words. Take care.”

Agrawal’s sister took to the comments section urging followers not to “panic.” She added, “You deserve to know this news, which is why we’re sharing the update now. We’re not in a position to explain the hows and whys at the moment. Please take care!”
