ELLSWORTH — Heart of Ellsworth is thrilled to announce that Maine Seaweed Week, a statewide festival celebrating Maine’s thriving seaweed industry, will take place in Ellsworth from through May 4. This year Maine Coast Sea Vegetables and Star 97.7 are proudly sponsoring Seaweed Week in Ellsworth, helping to highlight the many ways seaweed is shaping Maine’s food, wellness and sustainability industries.

The week will culminate with a Downtown Seaweed Walk on Saturday, May 3, led by Heart of Ellsworth. This Seaweed Walk will guide participants through downtown Ellsworth, offering a chance to explore local businesses that incorporate seaweed into their products, while learning about the sustainable and innovative ways seaweed is shaping Maine’s food and wellness industries.
