Many devoted TikTok users followed the 2025 NFL Draft just to find out whether 3-year-old Mac Prieskorn would be able to see his dad, tight end Caden Prieskorn, play pro football in the league.
Caden, 25, recently played for the University of Mississippi, where he was often supported by wife Cali Prieskorn and their children Mac and daughter Romy, 11 months. Mac subsequently went viral after Cali, 25, started sharing his game day traditions, including giving “lucky bumps” to the team, via social media.
After graduating from Ole Miss, Caden declared for the draft, which took place this weekend in Green Bay, Wisconsin. While the tight end was not picked by any team, he later signed a contract with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent.
Now, what’s an undrafted free agent? These are the NFL hopefuls who declared for the draft but were not chosen by any of the 32 teams during the seven-round, three-day draft process. As a result, they can sign a contract with any team afterward. Whether an athlete is drafted or signs on as a free agent, it doesn’t mean they are confirmed on the 53-man roster when the season starts. There will be multiple rounds of cuts until games kick off in the fall.

Cali, meanwhile, is excited for her husband’s next steps as a football star.

With Caden now bound for Michigan, Cali doesn’t plan to move with him just yet.
“I’m like, ‘I’m gonna build a stable home in Oxford, [Mississippi] and you can go soul-searching,’” she said on the “Sunday Sports Club” podcast last month. “I mean, you don’t know. You could be cut and picked up and cut and picked up — and we do have the kids to think about and Mac is in school. Having that home to come back to and that stable place, where you can hang their clothes up in the closet and things like that is important to me.”

Cali and Caden are currently based in Oxford, Mississippi, near the Ole Miss campus.
“We kind of just decided, like, ‘Let’s have a house in Oxford for now. Maybe, we’ll pick a new home one day, but Oxford is home for us,” she added to podcast host Allison Kuch. “I think the unknowns are very hard, [and] he’s projected to be a late-round pick or a free agent, which is borderline. I’m almost, like, ‘Well, if you’re going to be a seventh-round [pick], you might as well let us pick where we’re going.’”
