THOMASTON — Get ready for a night of fast-paced, off-the-cuff comedy as Capital City Improv takes the stage at Watts Hall Community Arts on Friday, May 16 at 7 p.m. Located at 174 Main St. in Thomaston, Watts Hall will host this one-night-only performance filled with quick wit, audience interaction and plenty of laughs.
For more than a decade, Capital City Improv Comedy has been entertaining crowds across Maine with fully improvised shows inspired by audience suggestions and live interviews. Every performance is unscripted and unrepeatable, crafted in the moment and guaranteed to never happen the same way twice.
At the helm is Dennis Price, founder of Capital City Improv and a seasoned performer whose comedy roots trace back to Chicago, where he studied and performed with the legendary Second City and IO Theater. As a member of the IO house team Honeyslide, Dennis honed his craft alongside some of the best in the business.
Since moving to Maine in 1998, Dennis has become a fixture in the state’s performing arts scene, with acting credits that include long runs at the Theater at Monmouth, Penobscot Theater in Bangor, and The Public Theater in Lewiston. From 2012 to 2019, he brought his improv talents to Bar Harbor’s ImprovAcadia each summer.
