ORONO — Dirigo Pines is proud to announce the opening of current resident Dale Macurdy’s art in the Noel Sutherland Gallery at the Dirigo Pines Inn. This exhibit showcases Marcurdy’s journey through abstract expressionism. He says,“My interest was always focused on the exploration of possibilities, as they emerge in the action of painting.”
The exhibit, curated by Jennifer de Lanee and Carol Korty, includes 31 paintings from 1970 onwards. They vary in techniques, mediums and surfaces. Macurdy’s work has also been featured at Blue Hill’s Handworks Gallery.
An opening party with wine and snacks is Wednesday, April 23 at 3 p.m. in the Noel Sutherland Gallery. All are welcome. The exhibit runs until the end of June and is open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
