
BAR HARBOR — Looking for activities for your kids during April break? Interested in taking a tour of the Abbe Museum before May?
The Abbe Museum will be open for Spring Community Days on April 23-24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Delve into the world of the Wabanaki with the Abbe Museum’s Curator of Education Christiana Becker. From 10:30-11:30 a.m. hear a reading of the children’s books “Water Walkers” by Carol Trembath, “Nibi’s Water Song” by Sunshine Tenasco and “Little People of the Dawn” by Minquansis Sapiel.
Visitors are welcome to join a guided tour of the People of the First Light Gallery from 12:30-1:30 p.m.
This event also features a giveaway of “All Our Relatives | N‘dilnabamuk – A Guide to Wabanaki Environmental Allyship“ and coloring pages of Jordan Bennet’s (Mi’kmaq) “Thirteen Moons”.
2024 admissions prices apply for this event. Adults $12, seniors $10, ages 5-17 $7 and children 4 and under are free.
