
PFC Jeremiah Vadas, 20, of Orrington, graduated from United States Marine Corps boot camp at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina on April 4. PFC Vadas successfully completed 13 weeks of intensive basic training at MCRD Parris Island as one of 434 recruits in Training Platoon 3020. While in recruit training PFC Vadas served several weeks as platoon leader, and road guard.
Following 10 days home on leave he will report to Camp LeJeune for one month of military combat training and then to military occupation specialty school in Twenty-Nine Palms, California.
