A Bridgton man is accused of threatening to shoot President Donald Trump.
Kevin Bell, 46, made his threat to an undercover officer over the weekend, according to the Portland Press Herald.
The paper cited court documents, saying Bell walked into a restaurant and spoke with a Secret Service agent Bell apparently recognized.
He reportedly told the agent about his previous encounters with the law, including posts that “got him in trouble” before ultimately threatening Trump.
He allegedly said he previously wanted to shoot President George W. Bush and now wanted to shoot Trump.
Bell was charged with making a threat against the president.
If convicted, he faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
