Amid ongoing legal drama with NBA star Anthony Edwards, Ayesha Howard is setting the record straight on rumors about her past.

Howard was granted temporary sole physical and legal custody of 6-month-old daughter Aubri Summers, whom she shares with Edwards, 23, on Monday, April 7.

Later that evening, Howard participated in a Q&A with her followers via her Instagram Story where she was asked: “Did u really get 100k and didn’t get the abortion after y’all agreed on it?”

“[It’s] so unfortunate that people are really stooping this low to create narratives in hopes of saving face Because they feel spreading lies to make me look like a bad person will justify their actions,” Howard responded. “I have never been paid to get an abortion my stance is and always has been ‘abortion is not an option!!’”

She added, “I have never bargained the life of either one of my children.”

Howard also shares son Jason, 9, with rapper Lil Baby.

In court documents obtained by Us Weekly on Monday, Howard said she has been Aubri’s sole caregiver since her birth in October 2024. Edwards is asking for a Georgia court hearing to “establish [his] child support obligations.”

In October 2024, Edwards filed a paternity lawsuit asking for a DNA test using a “neutral and licensed laboratory” after Howard listed him as Aubri’s father to Howard naming him as the child’s father in her own September petition.

Howard initially sought sole custody of Aubri in March 2025 and referenced that Edwards underwent a DNA test to confirm his paternity in December 2024. She asked for the Minnesota Timberwolves star to be listed as Aubri’s father on the child’s birth certificate.

Edwards submitted court documents in 2024 explaining that he was “not seeking child custody or visitation of Aubri” and claimed “the only issues to be resolved [were] financial in nature.”

In March, Howard’s attorney urged that a settlement was needed quickly because his client was “currently unemployed and [relying] on savings, family support and any support that Edwards provides to maintain the needs and care for the minor child.”

Howard also asked to be reimbursed for “actual costs incurred for her pregnancy, birth and expenses incurred after the child’s birth,” as well reimbursement for her attorney’s fees.

In a separate post via her Instagram Story on Monday, Howard was asked: “Did you stay in labor long?”

“Two days 🤭,” she answered. “I’m not gone lie I stood on business with those doctors. I took my time and advocated for myself. I was not trying to have a C-section and I made sure I called every shot in my labor and delivery and because I stood up for myself I [successfully] pushed my 8 lb baby out.”
