A Brooksville man allegedly led police on a high-speed chase in Blue Hill on Wednesday.
Logan Lajeunesse, 25, was charged with eluding an officer, aggravated driving to endanger and speeding, according to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office.
The deputy tried to stop Lajeunesse on Union Street to talk with him about a complaint about suspicious activity and trespassing in the area, the sheriff’s office said.
But Lajeunesse allegedly didn’t stop and led the officer on a chase with speeds exceeding 80 mph.
During the chase, Lajeunesse lost control at a curve, went off the road, hit a rock and a tree, flipped, and landed on the driver’s side before coming to a rest in the road, according to the sheriff’s office.
He was taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
The investigation is ongoing.
