Before Victoria Lee Robinson found love with Tom Sandoval, she previously dated Leonardo DiCaprio.
“So, him and I are still really good,” Robinson, 32, said on the Wednesday, April 2, episode of “The Viall Files” podcast. “Well, we’re not really good friends now. If we see each other in passing, we’re cool. I’m actually closer to Tobey Maguire, [who is] his really good friend.”
According to Robinson, she “had a little thing” with DiCaprio, 50, back in 2016, years before getting together with Sandoval, 42.
“We would hang out as friends for most of the time,” Robinson recalled of DiCaprio. “We would go out and we’d meet up and all [these] girls would just, like, swarm him and stare at him. It was just so freaky. I was like, ‘Oh, my God, what is going on?’ I think he’d like the fact that … I’d treat him like a normal person ‘cause he is a normal person, just very successful and great at his job.”

Robinson further clarified that she was “never in a relationship” with the Oscar winner.
Robinson joined Sandoval on Wednesday’s podcast episode, where they also detailed the start of their yearlong romance. (The Vanderpump Rules alum confirmed their relationship in February 2024.)
“We met through a friend,” Robinson remembered. “It’s kinda funny. My friend, she was like, ‘Do you want to go to this [Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras] show?’ Being honest, I looked at the phone on YouTube, and I was like, ‘Do I really have to go to this? Come on.’ It wasn’t the best video … they could have shown me.”
Despite her hesitations, Robinson attended Sandoval’s cover band performance and, soon enough, they hit it off.

“I got to know him not knowing anything [about Vanderpump Rules or his cheating scandal with Rachel ‘Raquel’ Leviss],” Robinson said. “I got to hear his side. … I’ve given him a lot of s*** because I’m a girl, [and] like, I’ve never cheated in my entire life. I’ve never been a homewrecker and I’m not for any of that. I think he was matched with me for a reason, and I think he has grown [since we started dating]. I’m so proud of him.”
The pair credited their success to couple’s therapy sessions.
“We got into therapy very early on,” Sandoval told podcast host Nick Viall. “[We wanted to] develop good habits now before you develop bad habits for a long time and then you have to unlearn those bad habits.”
Sandoval has previously been open about how he’s grown while dating Robinson.
“I’ve been extremely happy in [our] relationship. We work very well, we have similar goals, and it feels like we could really grow together,” Sandoval said in his Us Weekly cover story published last month. “I feel so fortunate and lucky to have her in my life. She’s been my rock and stuck by me.”
He added, “I’m not the same person that I used to be. I don’t do the same things I used to do. It’s important for her to feel secure and loved. I’ve also calmed down when it comes to going out. I don’t want to put myself in situations that, you know, don’t look appropriate. It’s tough too because people try to pull s***, [so] I just avoid those situations altogether.”
