In little over a month, the SEC has dropped multiple lawsuits, including a high-profile one against Ripple. Brad Garlinghouse, CEO of Ripple, announced the good news on March 19 on his X account.
Other notable instances include Robinhood and OpenSea, with both praising the SEC’s new ruling.
SEC’s latest pardons targeted Kraken, ConsenSys, and Cumberland DRW LLC, with Kraken painting the decision as ‘the end of a politically-motivated campaign’ and stating that ‘the government took a regulation-by-enforcement approach that stifled progress and disadvantaged the US against other countries who fostered innovation through fair and transparent digital asset regulatory regimes.’
