
The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a hit-and-run crash that left a man critically injured Friday evening on Kennebec Road.
Deputies responded to the scene around 6:45 p.m. and found the man lying on the side of the road near the intersection with Hog Hill Road, according to a post on the sheriff’s office Facebook page.
“It was clear from the man’s condition and evidence found at the scene that he had been struck by a vehicle,” the post said.
The man was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
