Former Family Feud contestant, Christopher Crisona, has reportedly been charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse.

According to multiple media outlets, including TMZ and Entertainment Weekly, the school teacher, 57, was arrested in Orange County, Florida on March 10.

Crisona, who has lived in both Delaware and Florida, was arrested alongside another man, Father John Taggart, 80, in connection to alleged abuse at St. Thomas the Apostle School in Wilmington, Delaware, both outlets reported on Thursday, March 20.

Per a Delaware’s Department of Justice press release, the alleged abuse against a former middle school student took place between 1994 and 1996 at the school and other locations.

“The State’s indictment alleges a pattern of gravely serious abuse against a juvenile by two adults in a position of trust,” said Delaware Attorney General Jennings via the press release. “As prosecutors, and as parents, these kinds of cases keep us up at night — but they also give us purpose. The victim in this case suffered profound trauma over a period of years and deserves justice. I’m grateful to the police, prosecutors, and social workers who have been critical to this investigation and who are committed to getting justice.”

According to the Department of Justice’s press release, Crisona was “removed mid year” from his teaching position at St. Thomas “following a student complaint.” In the years following, Crisona went on to work at St. Matthew’s in Wilmington, Corpus Christi, and St. Hedwig’s and currently works in Florida as an elementary school teacher. According to Florida news outlet, WFTV, Crisona has also worked at at least seven elementary and middle schools in Orange County since 2008.

Taggart’s charges include: Continuous Sexual Abuse of a Child, two counts of Dangerous Crime Against a Child, two counts of Unlawful Sexual Penetration 3rd Degree, four counts of Unlawful Sexual Intercourse 1st Degree, and Unlawful Sexual Contact 2nd Degree.

Steve Harvey’s Ups and Downs Over the Years

Crisona took part in popular game show Family Feud in 2010. During the episode, hosted by Steve Harvey, Crisona and his family came close to winning a $20,000 prize during the “Fast Money” segment.

The game show, which was created in the 70s, features two families facing off against one another as they try to guess popular answers to questions posed by the host.

Over the years, Family Feud’s hosts have included Harvey, Richard Dawson, Ray Combs, Louie Anderson, Richard Karn and John O’Hurley.
