Meow Lounge is excited to announce we have recently switched to a full non-profit 501(c)3. The official changeover will be March 17, when we have our first board meeting. This means all reservations and purchases at our gift shop are tax deductible. We can also accept donations — both in person and on our website. And we are very happy to say that we have now had 555 cats adopted from the Lounge since we opened in July 2023.
The goal of Meow Lounge is to assist local shelters find homes for cats in need — we now partner with 13 different rescues from around the state. All the adoptions and fees go directly through the rescues/shelters where the cats originated from. The Lounge is set up as a foster home for the cats and gives them a chance to show their true personalities. We also host a variety of monthly activities such as yoga, trivia and movie nights plus lots of arts and crafts classes — like pottery, polymer clay, pebble art and jewelry making.
