Main Street in downtown Bangor will be reduced to one lane Wednesday.
C&C Lynch will be repairing a broken sewer main near 68 Main St., and the Bangor Water District will be working on a water main as well, according to an alert from the city.
That work will begin at 6 a.m. Wednesday and last until the evening, the city said Tuesday.
As a result, Main Street will be reduced to one lane and open only to southbound traffic. Northbound traffic will be diverted at Cedar Street, travel along to Washington Street and then onto Exchange Street.
Parking on the northbound side of Main Street between Water and Broad streets will be closed during construction.
