In response to tariffs from President Donald Trump, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced retaliatory tariffs on the United States.
During a news conference on Tuesday, he said the country will also try to buy Canadian products whenever possible and urged citizens not to vacation in the U.S., including a popular tourist attraction in Maine.
“Canadians are hurt. Canadians are angry. We’re going to choose not to go on vacation in Florida or Old Orchard Beach or wherever,” Trudeau said.

Trudeau said Canada will implement its own 25 percent tariffs on about $100 billion worth of U.S. imports, to be rolled out over the course of 21 days.
This comes in response to tariffs from Trump, which he claims are part of his effort to crack down on illegal immigration and fentanyl smuggling. However, the government’s own numbers show almost none of those problems are coming from Canada.
