A Casco man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly stabbed his landlord during a fight.
Abdul Hamed Feroze, 40, was charged with elevated aggravated assault, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
Feroze allegedly got into a fight with his 42-year-old landlord, both of whom live in the same Evans Drive property, about 8:35 a.m., the sheriff’s office said Thursday afternoon.
During the fight, Feroze allegedly took out an “edged weapon” from his waistband and stabbed his landlord in the upper thigh, significantly injuring him and causing serious bleeding, according to police.
Officers rendered first aid and used a tourniquet to stop the bleeding. The victim was taken to Bridgton Hospital, where he was treated and was expected to survive.
Feroze was taken to the Cumberland County Jail in Portland, where no bail had been set as of Thursday afternoon.
