BROOKSVILLE — Buck’s Market and its adjacent restaurant are under new management according to a brief announcement posted to the establishment’s social media on Monday, Feb. 23.
“Buck’s Harbor Market and Buck’s Restaurant under new management. The market will remain open as it has for more than 100 years. However, the restaurant is unlikely to open in 2025,” read the posting, which first appeared on the Facebook page for Buck’s Restaurant and was shared by Buck’s Market.
The announcement provided contact details for manager Allison Woods and requested that any questions be directed to her.
The social media announcement garnered numerous comments and had been shared multiple times. Comments on the post were largely lamenting the anticipated closure of the restaurant for the 2025 season. Many also conveyed well-wishes to new management, and others questioned whether the Buck’s establishments have changed ownership.
Woods said in an email that beyond the statement on social media there is no further information available regarding the changes at Buck’s Harbor Market.
Since 2019, the market and restaurant had been owned by Frederick W. Green, an independent film producer and former investment adviser who has lived seasonally in Brooksville.
