A downtown Bangor sidewalk will be closed for a pipe repair.
Crews will be fixing a broken fire suppression line in front of 48 Main St. on Thursday, according to an alert sent out by the city.
That also will require prohibiting parking there while that work is ongoing.
The work comes days after a water main broke in that area, flooding basements for several businesses from 56 Main to 46 Main. The city hopes to replace aging water infrastructure along Main Street, some of which dates back to the 19th century.
