A Berwick man was critically injured in a rollover crash on the Maine Turnpike early Friday morning.
Kristopher Robidas-Adams, 48, of Berwick was driving a gold Buick sedan south on Interstate 95, near mile marker 2, in Kittery about 12:10 a.m. when he crashed and his Buick ended up on its roof, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
The wreck blocked the left and middle lanes, Moss said Friday afternoon.
Robidas-Adams was trapped in the vehicle, and police attempted to free him but the damage was too severe.
Eventually, firefighters freed him from the wreckage. Robidas-Adams was taken to Portsmouth Regional Hospital in New Hampshire, where he was listed in critical condition.
The crash remains under investigation.
No additional information was immediately available.
