SNL 50: The Anniversary Special brought together a star-studded crowd to toast Saturday Night Live’s milestone 50th anniversary — and also a slew of former couples.

Ryan Reynolds walked the red carpet on Sunday, February 16, with his wife, Blake Lively. It was their first red carpet together since the It Ends With Us actress filed a lawsuit against director Justin Baldoni for alleged sexual harassment.

Sunday was also a date night for Scarlett Johansson — who was previously married to Reynolds between 2008 and 2011 — as she stepped out with her spouse, Colin Jost. Johansson met Jost because of SNL, where he works as a writer and cohost of “Weekend Update.”

Reynolds and Johansson did not appear to interact on the red carpet, but they weren’t the only former celebrity couple in attendance. Keep scrolling for more — and see photos:

Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson

Kardashian met Davidson after she hosted SNL in 2021, where they kissed in an Aladdin-style sketch. They later embarked on a whirlwind seven-month romance, the Skims mogul’s first since her divorce from Kanye West. (Zach Galifianakis later name-dropped West in Amy Poehler and Tina Fey’s Q&A segment on Sunday, joking he did not want to be asked questions and only wanted to “watch Kanye West perform.”)

While Kardashian and Davidson split in 2022, they each walked Sunday’s red carpet solo.

Not only could these two exes have a run-in, but Kardashian could also bump into two of her sisters’ former paramours. Bad Bunny, who briefly dated Kendall Jenner in 2023, showed up and appeared in a new “Domingo” sketch, while Tyga made a separate carpet appearance. Tyga notably dated Kylie Jenner before she moved on with Travis Scott and Timothée Chalamet, respectively.

Miley Cyrus and Nick Jonas

Cyrus and Jonas were once the sweethearts of the Disney Channel, dating from 2006 to 2007. They each stepped out on Sunday — Miley with boyfriend Maxx Morando and her mom, Tish Cyrus. Nick, who is married to Priyanka Chopra Jonas, appeared solo.

Miley performed on the broadcast alongside Brittany Howard, where they were introduced by Aubrey Plaza.

Natasha Lyonne and Fred Armisen

Lyonne dated Armisen, who is now married to Riki Lindhome, from 2014 to 2022. The two exes also both attended SNL 50, in which Armisen was joined by his wife.

When Armisen appeared in Fey and Poehler’s segment, he did not address his ex being nearby, instead asking, “Do you know why Lorne [Michaels] cut ‘Vampire Office?’”

Armisen, holding up the OG script, remembered that the skit “played pretty well in dress” rehearsal.

Reynolds also appeared to joke about his and Lively’s legal battle during Fey and Poehler’s segment. “[I’m doing] great. Why? What have you heard?” he joked, while Lively sat with a stoic poker face.

Johansson, meanwhile, supported Jost as he hosted a special edition of “Weekend Update.”
