The post The Value of Creativity: Why Rewarding Content Creators Matters appeared first on Coinpedia Fintech News

The visual content market was worth $5.2 billion in 2023, and it’s predicted to surpass $19 billion by 2032. This statistic presupposes the existence of many good content creators, but what do the great ones have in common? Creators with unique voices stand out in this crowded landscape. Their voices reflect their values and personality and are consistent across all of their content. Creators with inimitable voices find their work universally recognizable, and audiences are likelier to engage with the content they produce.

A growing trend: Rewarding the best

Velar, a decentralized exchange protocol building the user interface to access the Bitcoin blockchain, has embraced a growing trend associated with content creation: rewarding the best. Its Content Creator Yield Program is the flagship program that rewards content creation in a way that is not unlike yield farming. The program uses a raffle entry system to distribute 50,000 $VELAR a week among five contributors, the total coming to 200,000 $VELAR per month. The system converts their engagement into weekly rewards.

Under the new initiative, content creators—including bloggers, tweet authors, podcasters, video producers, and more—will earn points for their contributions. The point rewards help choose the weekly raffle winners. Velar recognizes the importance of rewarding content creators and aims to bring financial and education infrastructure together under the scope of its program.

Quality above all else

According to Peter Watson, Chief Marketing Officer at Velar, the Creator Program rewards the creators who only contribute to the Bitcoin ecosystem because they believe in its mission. The sole requirement to receive $VELAR is producing high-quality educational content in Bitcoin DeFi. Blogs, videos, tweets, and podcasts qualify. The points-based raffle system determines the winners, who will get the rewards transferred to their wallets within 48 hours.

The Content Creator Yield Program aims to establish a sustainable compensation model for Bitcoin DeFi educators, diverging from conventional yield farming opportunities that tend to affect liquidity providers (LPs) exclusively. Under Velar’s system, all educational contributions towards sustainable growth have equal value, prioritizing the Velar ecosystem and community-driven growth of DeFi education. The program maintains quality standards by implementing a thorough verification process. It also features weekly resets for new opportunities for smaller or less experienced creators and considers engagement value instead of mere post volume. More information about the initiative is available at velar.com/velarcreatorprogram.

The path forward for creators post-AI

Generative AI tools can help with drafting, brainstorming, and more, but losing the human touch is one thing content creators can’t afford to do. Content consumers can tell the difference between real human content and something ChatGPT generated, and they tend to be unforgiving. Making an emotional connection is going to be crucial in 2025 and beyond, especially considering the massive volume of lifeless AI creations on the internet.

Creators who make their content emotionally driven and unmistakably human will continue to stand out. Content marketers are prioritizing user-first, human-centered content to succeed in a landscape driven by evolving SERPs and AI overviews.

Companies and brands can improve user experience, strengthen trust, and enhance credibility by creating authentic content that gives reliable answers and addresses real user needs. Given the daily influx of new AI tech, budget stressors, and economic uncertainty, brands and marketers will put more effort into connecting with their audiences on a human level.

Creators need to put their heart and soul into their messages, for lack of a more suitable term. Content must resonate on a deep level of human understanding so recipients know that the respective platform recognizes and cares about their pain points.
