
Princess Tatiana of Greece released an upbeat statement thanking fans for their support after her ex-husband, Prince Nikolaos, remarried.
Nikolaos, 55, wed Chrysí Vardinogiánni at St. Nikolaos Ragavas church in Plaka, Athens, in Greece on Friday, February 7, Hello! Magazine reported. The nuptials, attended by the Greek royal family, came 10 months after Nikolaos and Princess Tatiana, 44, announced their split.
“I can’t start this post without saying thank you to this incredible community. To everyone who has made me feel at home, strong, and supported—YOU. My heart is full of gratitude,” Tatiana wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday, February 12.

Tatiana, originally from Caracas, Venezuela, said she has no plans to leave Greece following her divorce.

“When people ask if I will continue to live in Greece, my answer has never been more of a YES. Because of you. Thank you for opening your doors, your hearts & your homes. Your kindness and support means everything,” Tatiana wrote in the caption, alongside a black-and-white portrait.
Tatiana continued that the past few weeks have been “an adventure,” and added that she moved to a new house.
She also shared an update on Breathe, a non-profit organization focusing on mental well-being which the princess founded in 2020. “Breathe has officially partnered with NBA player Kevin Love’s foundation, the Kevin Love Fund, to bring social and emotional learning tools to Greece and our team keeps growing,” she wrote.
“Special thanks to those who help me stay strong—physically, emotionally and in every way that matters,” Tatiana added later in the post. “You guys rock & you are my rock.”
Nikolaos and Tatiana announced their separation on April 19, 2024, with the statement: “Prince Nikolaos and Princess Tatiana, after fourteen years of living together, have decided to dissolve their marriage.”
“Both express the difficulty of this decision, the deep appreciation and respect they have for each other, but also the love with which they have walked all these years,” the statement added.
Born in Caracas to Slovenian and German parents, Tatiana attended boarding school in Switzerland and studied sociology at Georgetown before relocating to Greece with Nikolaos in 2013.

Nikolaos, meanwhile, was raised in the U.K. The Greek royal family temporarily lived in exile following the abolition of the monarchy in 1973.
“When I finally got the opportunity to move here with my wife, I was excited. I won’t lie, I was a little bit apprehensive as I had built up this idea and image in my mind of what it would be like,” Nikolaos told Business Insider in 2020.
