Christina Milian and Matt Pokora had a meet cute in Paris and have been together since.
Milian first met the French singer — who also goes by M. Pokora — in August 2017, when they were dining separately at a restaurant in Paris. The host of the establishment encouraged them to talk since they were both musicians. Milian wasn’t interested at first, but had a change of heart after catching a glimpse ofPokora.
“So we switched numbers, found out we had the same birthday that night,” Millian said to E! News in 2019. “And it was like the stars aligned.”
According to Milian, that night Pokora also predicted that the pair would have a kid together. The actress brushed it off at first, since she was already mom to daughter Violet, whom she welcomed with ex The Game in 2010.
“He told me, ‘We’re going to have a child together.’ … I’ve never had anybody say that to me,” she recalled, noting that she explained after she revealed she already had a daughter, he said, “Well, you don’t have a son.”
Three years later, Milian and Pokora welcomed son Isaiah. The couple later expanded their family with son Kenna.

August 2017
Milian and Pokora had a meet cute in Paris. The “A.M. to P.M.” singer later shared that the songwriter won her over when he took an interest in her daughter.
“From the beginning, he was interested in meeting my daughter,” she told E! in 2019. “He was on it. It was so nice. I’ve never seen anybody be like that.”

Three months later, the twosome made their red carpet debut as a couple at the NRJ Music Awards.
August 2018
After dating for a year, Pokora relocated from France to Los Angeles to be with Milian.
“We have the best time together. I could spend every day with him, every moment,” Milian shared of closing the distance during an August 2018 appearance on The Real. “It’s been cool! We just have a good time.”
July 2019
Milian and Pokora announced they were expecting their first child together.
“Cooking up a new release for 2020! What a collaboration!” she wrote via X alongside a pic of the couple holding up their sonogram.
Pokora shared the photo, writing, “The next generation is on the way! Legacy on the way!”
January 2020
The duo welcomed their first son, Isaiah.
“And so we begin. Isaiah 1/20/20,” Milian wrote via Instagram. “Simply perfect. The world is yours Son. Love, Mom & Dad.”
December 2020
Later that year, Milian and Pokora revealed they were expanding their family for a second time.
“We did it again. #partyof5,” Milian tweeted at the time.
After news broke of their pregnancy, French magazine Public reported that the couple tied the knot.

Milian gave birth to son Kenna.
“Kenna, Welcome to the world baby boy!” she wrote via Instagram alongside a photo of her holding him in the hospital. “Wow, What an adventure we’ve been on since the day he was conceived! … Thankful. Blessed. Now it’s party of 5 baby!”
January 2022
The “Dip It Low” singer opened up about how she and Pokora always make time to enjoy a small couple’s getaway to keep their connection strong.
“We don’t go too far away from the kids, but we like to do something for ourselves. We need that time to just be adults and not have to worry about anything,” she told BET in a January 2022 interview. “Every time we do it, it is always really refreshing. I love to travel and I love spontaneity. Thank goodness he has that in him because it’s a good fit for the both of us.”

Milian took to social media to share her appreciation for Pokora.
“Found someone who matches my goofy personality. Supports and lifts me up. And life is even better when we’re together,” she wrote alongside an Instagram Reel of her and Pokora over the years. “And that’s PRICELESS.”

Milian paid tribute to Pokora on Father’s Day with a sweet post.
“Fathers Day Everyday for you 
You’ve snatched my heart and my love only grows deeper everyday. We are not your typical and I love that about us,” she captioned a video of the singer on stage. “My greatest joy is watching you be such a loving Father to our kids and a supportive husband at that. A moment like this (video) proves how much we mean to you. And we all love you so much!”

Pokora was selected to carry the Olympic torch during the 2024 summer ceremony and Milian was in the crowd cheering him on.
“To your hometown and back to our home carrying the Olympic torch cause you stay WINNING! 
such an amazing moment to witness with your family and best friends,” she wrote via Instagram. “You deserve all the love! This was EPIC! Now come home and take out the trash!!

Milian confirmed that she and Pokora quietly tied the knot when she referred to the musician as her husband in an interview on The Jennifer Hudson Show. The Dexter Original Sin star also revealed that she and her family had relocated to Paris.
“My husband is French and we’ve been together for over seven or eight years and for like the last three or four years, we were commuting back and forth every six months,” she said. “And then we decided to commit to it last year because our kids were going to go to school.”

During an appearance on Rachel Bilson’s “Broad Ideas” podcast, Milian opened up about the moment she locked eyes with Pokora.
“My husband knew who I was, but I didn’t know who he was. Somehow at some point after dancing on the table, [the restaurant staff] asked me to sing one of my songs. [He] and I caught eyes. He happened to be walking and I was like, ‘Whoa, he’s hot,’” she reflected. “The host saw us see each other and he brought us over to each other.”
