All eyes were on the stars as they stepped out on the 2025 Critics Choice Awards red carpet.
The event, held at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Friday, February 7, attracted some of film and television’s most illustrious stars.
With A-listers at their sartorial best as they made their way down the red carpet, it appears corset-style dresses were a hot theme for Demi Moore, Ariana Grande and Dakota Fanning, who all put their own spin on the trend.

Moore turned heads in a sexy black lace-up corset style number from Schiaparelli’s fall 2024 collection. The dress’s intricate lace-up detail on the back was a nod to her character, Elisabeth Sparkle, in The Substance, who had back stitches in the film. Moore is up for Best Actress at the awards show thanks to her portrayal of the character. Adding to the look was the strapless sweetheart neckline which was adorned with black crystals. She topped off the looks with jewelry from Tiffany & Co.
Ariana Grande
Grande put a sparkly twist on the trend, stepping out in a gold balletcore number designed by Dior Haute Couture. The creation featured a nude cage dress embellished with floral appliques, a fringe hem and shoulder detailing. To complement the look, the Wicked star, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Critics Choice Awards, opted for a sleek, slicked-back hair style and added diamond earrings as her jewelry of choice. For shoes, Grande went for black pumps and finished off with an ivory manicure.
Dakota Fanning
For a sweeter take on the corset trend, look to Fanning, who went for a seafoam green number. Simple and stylish, the Dolce and Gabbana dress gave mermaid vibes with the corset-style neckline and flowing, floor-length hemline. Fanning, who scored a Best Supporting Actress nomination for her role in Ripley, teamed the gown with a statement diamond necklace and wore her blonde locks down in a simple style.
