Bill Belichick, 72, and his 23-year-old girlfriend, a Miss Maine finalist, received some ribbing from Snoop Dogg over their age gap at Thursday’s NFL Honors event.

Belichick, who will be coaching the University of North Carolina next year, made an appearance at the red carpet with his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, with both sporting some of Belichick’s Super Bowl rings from years past.

According to the New York Post, Belichick wore four of his Super Bowl rings on his right hand, while Hudson wore one of his rings on her left hand.

The couple’s appearance sparked some commentary from other event attendees, including event host Snoop Dogg. In his opening remarks, the rapper commented that “Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet,” when the Cowboys were a good team and the Chiefs were a bad team.

The Kansas City Chiefs are going for their third straight Super Bowl title this weekend, and will be facing the Philadelphia Eagles.

Belichick started his NFL career in 1975 as an assistant for the Baltimore Colts, 26 years before Hudson was born in March of 2001. Belichick won his first Super Bowl with the Patriots in 2001.

Neither Belichick nor Hudson appeared to be particularly offended by the joke, with their initial reactions or shock turning to grins while sitting in the audience.
