The purpose of our government is to protect and serve the people. I believe President Donald Trump violates that purpose every day.
He claimed he had no knowledge of Project 2025, but now he is implementing it in America. He campaigned against “elites,” but he fills his administration with billionaires. He campaigned to lower grocery prices, but now he tells Americans prices will rise.
He promised to protect Medicare and Social Security, but he essentially gave Elon Musk access to the entire personal data of these programs. He promised to end wars, but he engages in economic war with our allies, breaking former signed treaties that will bleed money from American people and businesses.
He promised to hire the brilliant and best people but fills his cabinet with the most incompetent
people in history. He is preparing to close the Department of Education, extinguishing national oversight. He distorts gender and racial biases to inflame existing biases.
In his first term, he increased the national debt by trillions of dollars and soon will balloon it by trillions more. He is destroying the institutions of government by replacing experienced workers with inexperienced loyalists. And, perhaps the most dangerous of all, he debilitated our healthcare and research agencies, while the next pandemic looms on the horizon.
I believe President Trump is a bully, drunk with power, craving absolute power and retribution against fabricated enemies.
Thomas Jefferson said: “The price of liberty is eternal vigilance.” Are you vigilant or a vigilante?
