PORTLAND – UScellular invested more than $24.5 million in its Maine network in 2024 to provide 5G modernizations, increase capacity and enhance connectivity across the state. The company also invested $218,000 to upgrade the shopping experience at its Thomaston store.
Additionally, to support science, technology, engineering and math education for local youth, UScellular donated $41,250 each to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Border Towns and Greater Waterville, and as part of the company’s After School Access Project, seven Maine non-profits received $403,000 worth of hot spots and service to help students connect to the Internet, including New Hope for Women in Rockland, Boys & Girls Clubs of Border Towns in Presque Isle, Capital Kids (Augusta Teen Center) in Augusta, Alfond Youth Center in Waterville, YMCA of Auburn/Lewiston, Penquis Community Action Program in Bangor, and Boys & Girls Club of Bangor.
