The Outlaw Music Festival will make a stop at the Maine Savings Amphitheater in Bangor this summer, in a tour featuring two American icons: Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan.
Nelson and Dylan will be joined by chart-topping songwriter Sheryl Crow, alt-country band Waxahatchee and singer-songwriter Madeline Edwards at the Bangor stop, set for Friday, Sept. 5. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Feb. 7 via Ticketmaster.
Also announced this week are country-rockers the Zac Brown Band, who are set to perform at the Maine Savings Amphitheater on Saturday, May 31, and country singer Luke Bryan, set for a Sunday, Aug. 24 concert. Tickets for Luke Bryan are already on sale via Ticketmaster; Zac Brown tickets will go on sale on Feb. 7.
Willie Nelson and Bob Dylan are no strangers to Bangor. Nelson, who will be 92 years old when he tours this summer, last performed on the Bangor waterfront in 2019, when the Outlaw Music Festival last came to the city. Dylan — currently experiencing a revival in popularity due to the Oscar-nominated biopic “A Complete Unknown” starring Timothee Chalamet — last performed in Bangor in 2011, also on the waterfront.
The Zac Brown Band and Luke Bryan are also regular visitors to the waterfront, with Bryan’s last concert in Bangor in 2021 and Zac Brown’s in 2015.
The three concerts are the latest addition to the 2025 season at the Maine Savings Amphitheater. Other shows announced so far include Avril Lavigne on May 25, comedian Matt Rife on July 12, Shania Twain on July 22, Chicago on July 31, Bret Michaels and Vince Neil on Aug. 2, the Goo Goo Dolls and Dashboard Confessional on Aug. 5, Brit Floyd on Aug. 21, Billy Idol and Joan Jett on Aug. 26, Melissa Etheridge and the Indigo Girls on Aug. 30 and Papa Roach and Rise Against on Sept. 20. More concerts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
