BANGOR — United Technologies Center electrical CTE instructor Clint Jackson has been nominated for National Life Group’s 2024-25 LifeChanger of the Year award. Sponsored by the National Life Group Foundation, LifeChanger of the Year recognizes and rewards the very best K-12 educators and school district employees across the United States who are making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence, positive influence, and leadership.
Jackson was nominated anonymously for his exceptional dedication to his students and the broader community.
Jackson has transformed UTC’s Electrical Program into one of the best in Maine, with a waiting list each year. His students regularly gain employment as Helper Electricians before graduation and continue their education while working toward Journeyman and Master Electrician certifications.
In addition to his teaching, Jackson mentors new instructors, improves teacher programs, and fosters industry partnerships to enhance learning. His commitment was especially evident when he helped create a scholarship fund for a former student who tragically passed away, bringing together community support.
“Clint creates a supportive classroom where students thrive,” said his nominator. “He builds confidence and teaches valuable life skills, preparing students for successful futures.”
