Anyone who knows me knows I’m a big-time gym girlie who aims to hit her body weight in grams of protein. And yes, of course, the taste is important. The snack has to be “worth it” in terms of price, calories and value — that is, how much high-quality protein I’m actually getting. While I typically opt for whey or milk protein-derived bars, I’ve been obsessed with these vegan protein bars that you’d never know are vegan. They taste like a decadent treat — without any guilt!
These caramel fudge bars are made with pea and soy protein isolates, dairy-free chocolate and vegan caramel, but here’s the kicker: they’re completely free of sugar! Unlike most protein bars on the market, which are candy bars in disguise, natural (sugar-free) sweeteners give these bars their dessert-like taste.
