The ERC 7683 will improve ETH network users’ experiences tenfold. Users can transfer non-fungible tokens (NFTs) from Arbitrum to Optimism and swap tokens on Polygon for those on Base.
All operations on the Ethereum network will be routinized among these chains, creating a unified framework for cross-chain interactions. Despite this announcement, ETH has barely moved, with a 0.38% gain this week at $3,393, causing investors to turn to $FXG.
Ripple Set To Release 1 Billion Coins Into Circulation On January 1, 2025
Ripple, the mother company to XRP, is preparing to release a fresh batch of XRP into circulation on January 1, 2025. This imminent iteration will see Ripple dole out 1 billion XRP into the market.
Based on the asset’s current valuation, that is $2 billion of the Ripple-owned coin entering the market. Per schedule, these XRP coins will be released in three batches: 200 million XRP, 300 million XRP, and 500 million XRP.
These tokens comprise 1.74% of XRP’s 57.25 billion circulating supply and 2.63% of the remaining 36 billion XRP sitting in Ripple’s escrow accounts. Ripple will use the XRP Ledger escrow mechanism to manage this unlock.
While it is certain this unlock will impact XRP’s market price, it remains to be seen how. Due to this uncertainty, whales are shifting to $FXG. In the meantime, XRP trades at $2.08, down 4.61% this week.
