Several of Hollywood’s biggest stars have been candid about their sobriety journeys over the years.
Kelly Osbourne, who previously talked about being sober for six years, revealed in April 2021 that she had suffered a relapse and was working on next steps. “Not proud of it. But I am back on track,” she wrote via Instagram at the time.
Demi Lovato, who first entered rehab for drug and alcohol addiction in 2010, has used their experience to help others who may be struggling with similar problems. The singer previously sought treatment and entered a sober house in 2013, but relapsed after six years of sobriety and was rushed to the hospital following a near-fatal drug overdose in 2018.
“A one-size-fits-all solution does not work for everybody,” Lovato told Glamour magazine about the choice to not remove marijuana from their life. “What I’m encouraging people to do is just make choices for themselves. Autonomy, for me, is what changed my life.”
