The toddler injured in a car crash in Levant a week ago is expected to make a full recovery.
A two-car crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Dec. 13 in the area of 1310 Horseback Road in Levant. Kallie Urquhart, 23, was driving south and collided with Edward Spencer Jr., 54, who was driving north, Maine State Police said previously.
After the crash, a 2-year-old boy in Spencer’s car was flown by helicopter to the hospital. He is now awaiting surgery at Boston Children’s Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, state police spokesperson Shannon Moss said.
Urquhart was released from the hospital the same day. Spencer is still in critical condition at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center and his third passenger Kylie Spencer is still hospitalized as well.
The crash is under investigation and there is no additional information about the cause, Moss said.
