Not even a broken foot could stop Kim Kardashian from celebrating the launch of Skims’ flagship store!
The Kardashians star, 44, was seen using a knee scooter at the opening of her clothing brand’s New York City store on Thursday, December 12, after recently breaking her left foot.
Kardashian wore an all-white ensemble for the occasion, including a white bustier top and white heels, proving that you can’t keep a good fashionista down. She wore her hair long, putting her bangs on display. The Skims cofounder even posed with her left leg perched upon the scooter outside the new store.
Kardashian shared news of her broken foot via her Instagram Stories on December 6, per E! News. She posted a photo of her foot in a medical boot and wrote, “FML broken foot for the holidays,” though she did not share further details of her injury.

Skims’ new Fifth Avenue store is the latest milestone for the shapewear and clothing brand, which last year was valued at $4 billion, per WWD. According to the outlet, the new site — which used to be a Versace store — spans 6,570 square feet over four stories. The store has a room dedicated to collaborations, a VIP area, an office space and will employ around 175 people.
“It really is such a proud moment. When we started Skims, we obviously had high hopes, but I never thought of retail and how that would look. … We were very focused on direct-to-consumer and everything online. So a Fifth Avenue store exceeds all of the expectations that I had,” Kardashian told WWD in an interview published Wednesday, December 11.
“The store has this high gloss mixed with monochromatic colors and materials and different textures, and everything is embossed like our logos,” Kardashian described the store.
“Two nights ago, I was up in the middle of the night on FaceTime, and the girls were in the store … and we were reorganizing everything,” she continued. “I started off my first job in retail. So my favorite thing to do, I would always steam all the merchandise in the back. So I asked them to save some pieces for me to steam.”
