This letter is in response to all the editorials and letters about U.S. Sen. Susan Collins. First saying she’s moderate. Then expecting her to oppose certain Cabinet nominations. Let’s state the facts.
Has everyone forgotten about the past? People seem to have short memories when it comes to politics. Collins has voted to confirm Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh, Neil Gorsuch, John Roberts and Samuel Alito. She also voted to confirm Judge Kurt Engelhardt to the 5th Circuit of Court of Appeals, who I think along with these other four judges Collins voted to confirm is the reason abortion rights have been reduced and why the Affordable Care Act is being brought to court.
I believe her votes and confirmations tell a story of putting a Christian conservative majority on federal courts. I don’t think she is moderate. Stop giving Collins a pass.
