The body of a man was found on Tuesday in the Lincoln County town of Edgecomb.
At about 9:30 a.m., a hunter reported finding the body near the Schmid Land Preserve on Old County Road, Shannon Moss, spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety said.
The body was brought to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy and identification.
Detectives with the Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit Central are investigating the circumstances of the death, Moss said.
No additional information was immediately available.
