The demand for leveraged Ethereum-based trading has experienced a major price surge this month. Reportedly, the demand for leveraged volatility shares has increased more than 160% this month. Moreover, since 05th November, the ETH exposure in the VolatilityShares on “2x leveraged long ETH ETF” has increased by 278,150 ETH, or +160%. As per sources, VolatilityShares now holds more than half of CME’s ETH open interest. Notably, this 160% rise in leverage was experienced over the past 23 days since United States President-elect Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election. Further, this has boosted investor confidence in risk assets such as digital assets.
