Two men have appeared in court after a murder investigation into the death of a woman in Glasgow.
Sandie Butler, 40, was found seriously injured in the St Mungo Avenue area of Townhead on 29 October and was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police Scotland said officers had been called to a report of a disturbance and subsequently launched a murder investigation following Ms Butler’s post-mortem examination.
James McCrindle, 53, was arrested and charged earlier this month and first appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on 4 November.

Court papers said at the time that McCrindle allegedly struggled with Ms Butler and “struck her to the body with a knife or similar implement”.
McCrindle, of the city, returned to the dock on Tuesday where he once again made no plea to the single charge of murder.
The accused was remanded in custody with his next court date yet to be confirmed.

James Paita, 40, the second suspect in the case, was arrested and charged last week and appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.
Paita, of the city, made no plea to the single charge of assault to severe injury, danger of life and attempted murder.
The accused was remanded in custody and is due back in the dock within the next eight days.
