The holidays are around the corner, and Jennifer Lopez is here with the ultimate self-care regime to ensure you look (and feel) like you’re living your best life in times of chaos.
Lopez, 55, knows a thing or two about juggling a busy schedule without sacrificing “me” time. As a mega-watt pop star, A-list actor and mother to 16-year-old twins, Emme and Max, who she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, she is well versed in how to have it all, including your evening skincare ritual and more.
In a recent People cover story interview, Lopez got real about her beauty and wellness essentials, which can conveniently be summed up in one word: balance.
“I don’t think there’s a busier time of the year than the holidays [but] even during a busy holiday season, I try to keep my routine consistent,” she said.

That means “sticking to my skincare even when I’m tired, making time for working out so I can stay energized, and finding moments to relax and recharge, whether it’s through a little affirmation or mindful breathing meditation for a couple of minutes in the morning.”

Lopez — who is currently promoting her forthcoming movie Unstoppable and whose brand JLo Beauty just launched six new holiday skincare collections — also prioritizes more leisurely tasks, like “pampering,” and binge-watching TV.
“Once the kids have gone to bed, I’m like, okay, my time. Put my face mask on. Watch The Great British Baking Show or whatever’s on,” she said of “quiet evenings” at home.
