The hosts of the Today show traveled back in pop culture history for their 2024 Halloween costumes.
Hoda Kotb, Al Roker and more of their Today colleagues dressed as characters from their favorite Blockbuster rentals for the group’s “VHS Rewind”–themed costumes on the NBC morning show’s Thursday, October 31, episode.
Savannah Guthrie looked spot-on as Elle Woods from 2001’s Legally Blonde. To take her costume over the top, she recruited the help of one of the film’s stars, Luke Wilson. The actor, 53, reprised his role as Emmett Richmond to act out the scene in which Elle meets her love interest.
“The fact that Luke came to be my Emmett is just a next-level dream come true,” Guthrie, 52, said on Thursday. Wilson, for his part, admitted he was “nervous” for the pair’s skit before praising Guthrie’s bend-and-snap, stating, “The form was spot-on.”
