Walmart Holiday Deals is a major shopping event that rivals Amazon’s October Prime Day. Walmart’s deals span six days and are open to Walmart+ members 12 hours before everyone else. The savings event offers shoppers the chance to get a head start on their holiday shopping before the retailer holds its Black Friday deals. So don’t wait! When Is Walmart Holiday Deals?

“Beginning Oct. 8 at 12 a.m. ET on Walmart.com and the app, Walmart+ members get exclusive early access to shop the most-wanted deals, 12 hours earlier than anyone else,” Walmart shared in a press release. “All customers can shop the Walmart Holiday Deals event starting Oct. 8 at 12 p.m. ET on Walmart.com and the app, with the fun continuing in stores Oct. 9 at local store open time.”

That means that shoppers have six days to plan their shopping strategy. With thousands of items on sale, from toys to home decor, you don’t want to miss the best deals of the seasons.

Do I Need to Be a Walmart Member to Shop?

You don’t need to be a Walmart+ member to shop the sale, which opens to everyone on October 8 at 12 p.m. But becoming a member does have perks. If you sign up to become a Walmart+ member, you will gain access to the sale 12 hours before other shoppers.

How Do I Become a Walmart+ Member?

Walmart makes it easy to sign up for a membership. Visit the website and start with a free three-day trial. From there, Walmart gives shoppers two membership options: a monthly plan, which is $12.95 per month, or an annual plan for $98 per year.
