A Turner man died Sunday after a fiery collision in Litchfield.
Jon Devoe, 29, was speeding on a motorcycle on Route 197, also known as Richmond Road, about 8:58 a.m. when he crossed into the path of a pickup truck driven by 34-year-old Ryan Gibson of Bowdoin, according to the Kennebec Journal.
Devoe ended up underneath Gibson’s pickup truck.
Gibson escaped from the wreck, and he and a bystander pulled Devoe from underneath the truck before flames engulfed it and the motorcycle, the Journal reported.
Devoe died at the scene. Gibson was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
