The Bangor Police Department, Eastern Area Agency on Aging and three Bangor businesses will hold a pet food drive on Saturday, Sept. 14.
The “fill-a-storage-unit” event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the newly remodeled Broadway Self Storage at 1670 Broadway in Bangor.
Food or financial donations can be made at the event or at the participating businesses, with donations to benefit Eastern Area Agency on Aging’s Furry Friends Food Bank, which aims to help seniors who would otherwise have to choose between feeding themselves or their family pet.
Those who donate pet food or money at Saturday’s drive will get a free barbecue lunch.
