Versant Power has special rates designed for residential customers and businesses using electricity for their eco-friendly energy needs. You can save while charging your electric vehicle, powering your heat pump or heat pump water heater, or using power for energy storage solutions.
“As we increasingly look to use electricity for our clean energy needs, it’s important for us to provide options to encourage cost-effective use and ensure customers benefit from it,” said John Flynn, Versant Power President.
Available Eco Rates:
- Home Heating Eco Rate: An expanded rate is available for homes using heat pumps and/or a heat pump water heater for at least 50 percent of their heating needs. This is the same as our residential space heating service rate but now includes heat pump water heaters. Available in Bangor Hydro District and Maine Public District.
- Home Eco Time-of-Use Rate: This rate is available for whole-home electric uses, and can provide savings for electric vehicle charging and/or battery storage during periods of lower demand, primarily nights and weekends. Available in Bangor Hydro District.
- Home Eco with Bonus Meter Time-of-Use Rate: This rate is available for separately metered electric uses, and can provide savings for electric vehicle charging and/or battery storage during periods of lower demand, primarily nights and weekends. Available in Bangor Hydro District.
- Business Heating Eco Rate: An expanded rate is available for businesses using heat pumps and/or heat pump water heater(s) for at least 50 percent of their heating needs. Available in Bangor Hydro District and Maine Public District.
- Business Eco Rate — Separate Meter: An expanded rate is available for businesses offering Level 2 electric vehicle charging and/or battery storage. Available in Bangor Hydro District.
